Monsters

"Monsters"
Alaina Ellington

This piece was inspired by Mercer Mayers "There are Monsters Everywhere" story. It's one of the favorite bedtime stories in our home. I changed it up to make it my own, but Thank you Mercer for the inspiration!

"Monsters" is my second attempt at drawing something that can actually be enjoyed. I have also turned it into a t-shirt/sticker design and can be found here for purchasing.

Raphael
Alaina Ellington

Okay so I know it's not the greatest ever but I'm pretty proud of it! This is Raphael, from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If you aren't sure what they are, google it! They are awesome.

This took me 4 hours to draw and color and another 2 hours to put online and remove the white paper background so it would print out well on clothing. I plan on purchasing a t-shirt for my son...I think he's gonna love it!

So I could take some constructive criticism, and keep in mind this is me practicing to get better. I am still very much an amateur.

"Evil Cupcake"
Alaina Ellington Photography

So I have branched out from just posting my photography on redbubble, to also designing t-shirts, hoodies, kids clothes, and stickers. The above picture was my first attempt at creating a hand drawn design, and yea it's not the greatest ever but I kind of like it! It's an evil cupcake chasing a terrified birthday cake.

Handcrafted Jewelry

"Recycled Button Clasp Bracelet"
Alaina Ellington Photography

I grew extremely bored yesterday and decided to add a new hobby to my list. Feeling creative I got out my creativity supplies and started making bracelets and headbands which my daughter fell in love with. Being cheered on by my 8 year old I continued creating and crafted 4 bracelets which I decided to list online for sell, you know just testing the waters. I am wondering how it will go.

Miserable Tears

"Miserable Tears"
Alaina Ellington Photography

My family and I recently visited a zoo, where I caught this poor fella. This is a turtle, lying in the dry dusty dirt looking miserably sad. I enjoy visiting zoo's, however each time I am forced to wonder if these animals really need to go through the life of captivity just for our viewing pleasure. This poor turtle broke my heart, so I had to capture his sad little face.
